Explorando a conexão entre a riqueza socioemocional e a familiaridade
um referencial conceitual integrador
Resumo
Este trabalho parte de explorar na literatura as abordagens predominantes utilizadas para abordar a influência da família no negócio, com o objetivo de propor uma correspondência possível entre dois aspectos que são apresentados como privativos das empresas familiares e que contribuem para explicar um comportamento diferencial ante as não familiares: riqueza socioemocional e familiaridade — socioemotional wealth e familiness, por sua acepção em inglês. Nesse sentido, e ao reconhecer que se trata de uma particular visão que tem a intenção de refletir e contribuir para o conhecimento dessas organizações e, ao mesmo tempo, complementar outras visões, são revisadas ambas as perspectivas a partir da teoria para concluir, finalmente, que os objetivos familiares ou não econômicos que compõem o stock emocional são os que permitem e moldam os recursos diferenciais da empresa de natureza familiar.
